Position: Energy Development Manager

We are currently recruiting on a new role for a large and diverse energy supplier. They have extensive experience of building and owning a wide range of power generation plants including hydro, biomass, wind and gas and coal fired generation.

The company is expecting to double their current renewable energy capacity in the next few years by developing a significant portfolio of multi-fuel plant. As such they are looking to appoint a Development Manager to work within the Alternative Energy team.

The main duties of the role will include:

Identifying, analysing and developing a number of projects
Managing and delivering these projects from inception to completion
Lead the transaction discussions in setting up partnership arrangements and project acquisitions
Providing progress reports on the project portfolio
Assisting with the preparation and presentations of the business and delivery plans
Developing strong relationships with internal and external engineering, financial, fuel strategy and legal teams required to deliver the projects

The successful candidate should be educated to degree level or equivalent, with strong project management skills and proven delivery experience. They must have commercial awareness with the ability to appraise financial values of projects and technical experience of multi-fuel technology.
