We are operating on behalf of a contractor who design, engineer and execute solutions for building facades and envelopes - mostly using glass and aluminium materials. Clients are typically main contractors and projects worked on include commercial and public sector buildings such as offices, rail stations, airports and hospitals. The typical minimum value of projects secured is £2.5 million.

The contractor is seeking to appoint someone who will be UK (London) based to pitch for tender within construction companies.

It is important that the incumbent has an understanding of very specific construction solutions (ideally knowledge of those involving glass / aluminium facades and cladding) as the final build and thus their product offering varies from one project to the next. The main activity for this person will be commercial activity, market prospection, projects research and entering the company in to the tender process. The key remit of the role is to be the UK based business developer for the company - opening doors, pitching for the tender process and ultimately securing the contract.

Candidates must have a proven track record in generating sales in high value construction contracts, be a self-starter and be technically minded with strong commercial acumen.
